Mara Sheban

Mara Sheban is an Associate Producer at Sandbox Films working directly with the Head of Distribution & Business Affairs to support all aspects of distribution at Sandbox Films. Mara has a passion for community-led distribution and specializes in non-theatrical screenings and impact strategy, with a career focus of making science engaging and accessible to all audiences. Previously, Mara worked in Chicago, creating short-form film content for the Field Museum and various environmental organizations, and began her work in impact strategy at the documentary production company, Kindling Group. Since moving to New York, she’s led community outreach and strategic company partnerships in the nonprofit sector. She holds a degree in Geology from the College of Wooster.
