More about our approach.

Our vibe

All of the excitement and opportunity of a startup with all of the stability and cozy benefits of an established institution (were powered by the Simons Foundation). We’re a small and hardworking team (we already have about 20+ feature-length films completed or in the works). We’re perfectionists (who also welcome alternate points of view). Were headquartered in NYC (shiny new offices/studio being built now).

Our commitment

One of the founding motivations for launching Sandbox Films is to make science documentary more inclusive. In addition to increasing diversity onscreen, we seek to collaborate with artists behind the camera who have different experiences, backgrounds and perspectives. We cant accomplish any of this if we dont extend the same philosophy to our workplace. As such, we are committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive work environment. Sandbox Films actively seeks a diverse applicant pool and encourages candidates of all backgrounds to apply. We provide equal opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, religion, color, age, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic disposition, neurodiversity, disability, veteran status or any other protected category under federal, state and local law.
